Mrs. Krissy Adcock
Kindergarten
My name is Kristen (Krissy) Adcock. I was born in Valdez, Alaska and lived there for the first twelve years of my life. I lived in Bellingham, Washington for one year then my family moved to Hannibal in 2002. I went to Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri in 2008 where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in music with an emphasis in instrumental music, and a Masters in Arts degree in Elementary Education. I am also certified in Early Childhood Education.
I started teaching at St. John’s in 2013. The first year I taught, I was a preschool teacher in the High Five classroom. I started teaching kindergarten in 2014. I also teach music for all of the students at our school. After school I have led clubs such as Board Games Club and Tone Chimes Club. I have also given music lessons and tutored many students.
When I am not at school I like to read, workout and run, knit, and listen to music. I enjoy spending lots of time with my husband Ryan and my children Rylee and Theodore. We enjoy getting out in the community and we participate in as many activities as we can. I love to be involved in the community on my own as well. In the past I worked at both Rockcliffe Mansion and on the Mark Twain Riverboat. My family attends St. John’s Lutheran Church. I am currently the bell choir director and I play in the bell choir at First Christian Church. Sometimes you can see me playing my horn at school musicals, in community bands, or with various groups around Christmas time.
