*This weeks business highlights!!*
For the next few weeks we will be highlighting businesses in our community that supported St. John’s Lutheran School through our annual Basket Bingo fundraiser. Although we were unable to hold the event this year- we are thankful for our sponsors and the contributions given to our school. These donations help provide numerous student scholarships and contribute to technology improvements throughout the school building.
St. John’s Lutheran Church member, and president of the congregation, Craig Altheide- went on a bike tour and captured snapshots of our business sponsors!
-THANK YOU- from everyone at St. John’s Lutheran School for your support!
We look forward to Basket Bingo 2021!
*Look for more sponsor photos in the coming weeks!* ...
Hello, my name is Kayla Cheadle. I am the cook at St. John's. I've worked at St. John's for a little over a year. Before working at St. John's, I was an assistant manager at a restaurant for 18 years.
I have lived in Hannibal all my life. I attended Pettibone Elementary School, where I had our lovely Mrs. Sublette as my 5th grade teacher. I also attended Hannibal Middle School and High School.
I have four daughters. My oldest daughter graduated from Hannibal High School, and my second oldest will be a junior at Hannibal High this school year. I also have 2 year old twin daughters, who enjoy spending time with their grandma while I work. In December, I am expecting the arrival of my first grandchild, another little girl.
My hobbies include decorating and reading, both in which I enjoy a lot. I enjoy working at St. John's! ...
Thank you for all you do at school, Kayla! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Kayla! Welcome back! You have a hands full job! You have done a great job! Smells from the kitchen make me hungry! Thank you for your dedication and kind spirit! Best dishes and wishes for a new year!
😄 happy to have you on our team!!
My name is Rebecca Harrison. I am one of the custodians at St. John's School. I also work with the school age children during St. John's Summer Camp.
I grew up in Hannibal and have spent most of my adult life in Hannibal as well. Christian education is very important to our family. My husband and I enrolled our son in Kindergarten to begin his education at St. John's. He will be in 4th grade this school year. We enrolled our daughter in preschool to begin her education at St. John's. She will be in 1st grade this school year.
St. John's feels like home. It is a great place for children to receive a Christian education. St. John's offers a wide variety of extra-curricular activities for children to engage in. St. John's is a great place to be employed. I enjoy working with the employees and children at St. John's. I am looking forward to this school year! ...
Hello to all our St. John's student body and families. I wanted to introduce myself. I am Becky Garr but better known as Ms. Becky. This will be my 8th school year at St. John's, working as a teacher's assistant in the preschool. It has been an honor working for our school and being a part of a God centered environment. I have claimed Jeremiah 33:3 as my life's verse. "If we call upon Him, He will answer and show us great and mighty things that we do not know." God has great and mighty things in store for our school. I'm so glad to be a part of that.
I am a mother of 5 children, 4 daughters and 1 son. I have been blessed with 10 grandchildren, 6 boys and 4 girls.
I love to read, make jewelry, watch Hallmark movies and spend time with my family. I'm looking forward to a great year. ...
This is another reason St. John’s students and families are the best!! You respond with encouraging and kind words. During this crazy upheaval and all of our lives have been affected in many ways you all still take time for sweet words of love and appreciation. We all need to do that. This means so much to me. These words came at a time when even though I know my youngest daughter and family are doing what the Lord has called them to do, it has been extremely hard on my part to let go. Please have them in your prayers. They will be leaving Monday the 3rd for Field Training in Virginia for 7 weeks in preparation for the mission field in Ireland. Their departure for Ireland may be as early as late September for possibly 5 years. So you see where words of caring, thankfulness, thoughtfulness and love are important? It is so sweet! Thank you.
Welcome back! When my grandson John Logsdon was with you downstairs in pre-K, He was very happy. He really liked you and all the pre-K teachers. I was glad to hear that you are coming back as I know you are a blessing to the school. I hope you have the best school year you’ve ever had! Lots of prayers to bless you and your family!
Nyla said hello Ms. Becky she misses you so much.

Hi! My name is Marilyn Sublette. My husband, Roger, and I live in Hannibal and have a farm in Philadelphia, Missouri, where we often thoroughly enjoy our seven adorable grandchildren. God has bee so good to us.
Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to teach. I loved to play school with my stuffed animals, dolls, and my little sister. The Lord granted my wish as I received my Masters Degree and as I taught in the public schools for thirty years. I have now taught the three-year old class of preschoolers at St. John's Lutheran for seven years.
What a blessing the three-year olds are as they learn their colors, shapes, ABC's, Bible stories, songs, and much more! I am thrilled about the new school year and all of the wonderful things the Lord has in store for us as we learn together. ...
St. John's students are so blessed to have you as a teacher. You have such a sweet, gentle heart.
We are so very blessed to have you at our school.
